Nate's Story is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization aiming to break the stigma surrounding grief, trauma and mental health issues through support, guidance, education, and perseverance.
Nate’s Story uses a portion of the donations to fund several local contests and festivals. Nate’s Story works with the Gloucester City High School to ask students to write something that motivates them to keep going. Several winners are selected each year and signs are hung at Proprietors Pier on the Delaware River in Gloucester City, NJ. Nate’s Story also teams up with the Gloucester City Youth Soccer League for the annual Head to Cleats Festival to promote physical and mental health. We have also participated in several festivals to help spread our message.
Student led high school group aimed to increase mental health awareness. Students come up with ways to educate about mental health, provide and practice multiple coping skills/ activities, and help formulate options for support. Overall, students will formulate a plan to create a supportive environment within the school. The goal of the Nate's Story Club is to empower the students to educate their peers, community, and provide support within the school community.
If your school is interested in forming a Nate’s Story Club please contact us for more information.
Nate’s Story helps to fund mini workshops for teens, providing them with practical strategies to help them think positively about difficult situations. It is also a way for them to practice overcoming negative self-talk, and build better friendships/relationships.
